The suffix DDU and VV is unique of NSK bearings, to be precise,the 2 suffix is for NSK deep groove ball bearings.Everyony know that there are several designs of NSK deep groove ball bearings,for example the part number 6203,for open design is 6203,for steel seals on one side is 6203-Z,on both sides is 6203-ZZ,and for rubber seals on both sides is 6203-DDU,the last 6203-VV,is with shield on both sides.
However,we often mix up the 2 designs of DDU and VV,compare to DDU design,VV design has much better tightness,and commonly used in the demanding fields,such as food machinery,because of its excellent tightness,the machine oil leakage rate is very low,so VV design is very suitable for food machinery.But DDU design has a broader range of applications than VV design.
